Mark Cosenza

Mark Cosenza is a senior vice president responsible for purchasing commercial real estate properties and has been involved in securing financing for those acquisitions. Since joining Inland in 2005 as a vice president of property management and acquisitions negotiator, Mark has played a key role in expanding Inland’s national real estate portfolio. Over his 20+ years, he has acquired more than 350 properties, totaling more than $8.3 billion and over 38 million square feet over multiple asset classes.

His experience spans grocery-anchored retail, class A apartments totaling more than14,000 units, student housing with over 7,000 beds, medical office buildings and more than 35,000 self-storage units. Among his notable transactions are a $424 million acquisition of 16 shopping centers from a joint venture between TIAA-CREF and Developers Diversified Realty, 19 shopping centers from Australian Macquarie CountryWide Trust, and a $212 million acquisition of 32 self-storage facilities purchased from Life Storage.

Prior to joining Inland, Mark was a market-maker at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. He was honored in Real Estate Forum magazine's "40 under 40" in October 2012 and is chairman emeritus and currently serves on the Executive Board of the Downers Grove Economic Development Corporation. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, National Multifamily Housing Council, Self Storage Association, National Association of REALTORS®, and the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, and frequently participates in media interviews and on commercial real estate panels.

Mark is a graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and is a licensed broker in Illinois.

Matthew Tice
Senior Vice President

Matthew Tice joined Inland in 2003 as vice president of Inland’s property management and as an acquisitions negotiator and was named senior vice president in 2016. He was appointed Co-CEO and President of Devon Self Storage in 2024. In recognition of his leadership and industry expertise, he was recently appointed as a Director of The Inland Group, LLC. With more than 20 years at Inland, he has played a key role in financing lines of credit for Inland-related entities and has negotiated over 441 acquisitions, representing more than $16 billion in transaction value and over 50 million square feet across every major commercial real estate asset type.

His notable transactions include the $520 million acquisition of 39 shopping centers from NewQuest Properties, the $450 million acquisition of 38 self-storage properties from Merrit Hill, the $300 million acquisition of Southlake Town Square in Southlake, Texas, the $410 million acquisition of 7 BTR properties from Christopher Todd Communities in Arizona, the $359 million acquisition of the Collette portfolio consisting of eight properties, and the acquisition and integration of the Devon Self Storage Management Platform.

Prior to joining Inland, he served as the director of information technology for Transplace, where he was responsible for the design, budgeting, and implementation of corporate networking systems.

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Texas A&M University and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, National Multifamily Housing Council, and Self Storage Association.
